Dr Deqing Huang received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees with a major of applied mathematics from the Mathematical College, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He attended the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, in 2006, where he received the second Ph.D. degree with a major in control engineering in 2011. From January 2010 to February 2013, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NUS. From March 2013 to January 2016, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Aeronautics, Imperial College London, London, U.K. In January 2016, he joined the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China as professor and department head. He is the member of the IEEE and the member of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. His research interests lie in the areas of modern control theory, artificial intelligence and deep learning, convex optimization, and robotics.

Description of Research Group:西南交通大学系统科学与技术研究所(ISST)成立于2011年,依托“控制科学与工程”一级学科,致力于打造控制科学与工程研究及应用国际知名的科研与人才培养基地。目前,研究所有拥有教师12人(教授6人,副教授3人,讲师3人),博硕士研究生60人。 研究所团队集基础理论研究、前沿技术开发于一体,重点开展先进控制技术、机器人与智能系统、智能信息处理等领域的教学和科研工作。承担了国家自然科学基金、国家重点研发计划、四川省科技支撑计划、企业合作等项目30余项;在轨道交通装备安全监控、机器人技术、高速列车运行控制与优化等领域取得了显著成果,发表了一批高水平学术论文,其中包括ESI高被引论文7篇,近3年申请发明专利20项,授权发明专利8项;团队注重产学研合作和成果转化,研发的牵引变电站巡检机器人在西成客专开展试运行,即将实现工程化,机器人焊接拼装质量检测系统正在高铁白车身制造生产线得到验证;团队国际学术交流活跃,近3年主办/承办高水平国际学术会议3项(CCC2016、IFAC TA2019、不确定系统与网络空间安全研讨会),赴国/境外参加学术会议和交流12人次,主持国家外专局引智项目2项,邀请海外知名大学的专家16人次来校交流访问。
