Professor Feng has long been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of electric traction AC drive and its control, train operation control and traction calculation simulation. She has presided and participated in 3 sub-projects of the National Science and Technology Support Program, 1 task of the National Key Research and Development Program, 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 projects of science and technology development and key key research projects of the Ministry of Railways, and more than 20 projects of enterprise technology development and cooperation. She has published more than 130 SCI/EI papers, granted more than 70 invention patents, published 1 textbook and 1 monograph, received 2 national awards, received 6 provincial awards, presided over and completed 7 national educational and teaching reform projects.
Professor Feng served as director of the institute of the Chinese society of electrical power electronics, electrical engineering institute of technology, the Ministry of Education of sichuan province in electrical engineering and automation professional teaching steering committee members, national traction electrical equipment and system standardization technical committee, the ministry of railways railway electrification teaching steering committee member and secretary general,Responsible person for the national excellent course of "Electric Traction Control System", and responsible person for the national characteristic major construction point of "Electrical Engineering and Automation". She has trained 12 doctors and more than 90 masters.

Description of Research Group:Train Control and Traction Drive Laboratory, founded by Professor Feng Xiaoyun, is based on the national key discipline "Power Electronics and Power Drive" and "Double first-class disciplines" construction projects. With the rail transit industry as the background, it integrates basic theoretical research and cutting-edge technology research and development.Mainly engaged in the research and development of power electronics and electric transmission, rail transit electrification and automation, key technology of electric traction transmission, train operation and optimization control technology.His main research directions include train operation control technology, electric traction system control technology, fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control technology of electric traction system, fault prediction and health management technology of electric traction system, new power electronics devices and application technology, optimal management of energy storage system, etc.The research team has 4 professors, 7 associate professors and 2 lecturers.There are 10 doctoral candidates and 72 master candidates.
