Hongyu Zhao, Ph.D., Associate Professor, IEEE member. He received the BSc degree in Automatic Control from Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) in 1993. Due to excellent performance, he was accepted without qualification exams to persue the MSc degree in Computer Application at the same university in 1993. Since 1996, after he received his MSc degree, he has served as an associate lecturer, a lecturer and an associate professor in School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) at SWJTU. In 2011, he received his Ph.D. degree in Commucation and Information Systems from the Provincial Key Lab of Information Coding and Transmision of SIST. Currently, he works in the department of Software Engineering as well as in the Provincial Key Lab of Information Coding and Transmision of SIST. In recent years, he published 6 SCI/EI/ISTP indexed (first author) and other 4 (co-author or none-SCI/EI/ISTP indexed) academic papers. He was the chair of the research project sponsored by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (No. SWJTU09CX034, 2010.1~2012.12) and currently he is chairing the research project of National Science Foundation of China (No. 61071106, 2011.1~2013.12).
