Faculty Profile

   Sirong Yi. Doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor. She is the host of national excellent course "Route Selection Design", the award winner of the second national teaching teacher, the leader of the national team of "Railway Engineering Class Group", the member of the teaching steering committee of the railway special profession(Railway Engineering) of the ministry of railway, the first young and mid-aged expert in urban rail transit, and the expert obtaining the special government allowance of state council . She has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of railway route selection design theory, route survey and design with modern technology, and rail transit engineering.

In recent years,  she presided more than 20 important scientific research projects, such as: the National Science and Technology Research Project, the National 863 Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Technology Development Key Projects fromm the Ministry of Railways Science, etc. In 1990s, she actively advocated the integration and intelligentization of railway survey and design in the field of modern technology for route survey and design. She first proposed the concept of digital railway route selection and design based on a virtual environment. In the field of theory and method of railway digital route selection and design,  her research is at the leading domestic level and international advanced level. She actively participated in the research on the technical standards of Chinese high-speed railway and urban rail transit, completed the design of the route selection of Shanghai maglev transportation demonstration line as a specially-appointed expert. She has publised more than 40 academic papers in the related field, and many papers have been exchanged and read at national academic conferences. She has won more than 20 awards, such as: the Provincial and Ministerial Teaching Achievement Award, the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Special Award, the Sichuan Publishing Award-the first prize of the Book Award, the Ministry of Railways Excellent Software Award, the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Achievement Award, and the Bronze Award for Excellent Design, etc.
