Professor Xu, Vice President of the School of Transportation and Logistics at the Southwest Jiaotong University, director of the Institute of Logistics Technologies and regent expert of Doctor Select Foundation of China. Her research interests lie in the areas of planning and design of Logistics Systems， Logistics equipment and information systems, optimization and simulation of Logistics systems. She held and participated in more than 20 research subjects, including information service system of public traffic in Chengdu (subsidiary project of information demonstration project of the Ministry of Communications), design of public Logistics information plat-form in traffic hinge cities, equipment monitor and management information technologies of modern Logistics park, manufacturing Logistics based on intellectualization and virtual reality (Foundation of Sichuan Province), synchronized designing technology in different places based on knowledge (Program of State 863), development of 100 Ton railway rescue cranes (Ministry of Railways, awarded a second prize of Science and Technology advancement by the ministry of Education, a third prize of national Science and Technology advancement), development of 160 ton railway rescue crane (Ministry of Railways), Finite element analysis of the structure of 3 ton carrier, Logistics development strategies and planning of Logistics centers in Pengzhou, and the key technologies of warehouse and handling systems of Logistics centers, etc. Nearly 20 academic papers were published and 2 textbooks were written, one of which was national level.
