Dr.A/Prof.Tong Xiaoyang,working in School of Electrical Engineering,Southwest Jiaotong University,has graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University with a bachelor's degree in 1993 and a master's degree in engineering in 1996.And then he graduated to work in school in the same year.In 2000,he worked in the Department of Power Engineering,School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University.In 2004,he was named associate professor.He studied for a Ph.D.degree in power system and automation of Southwest Jiaotong University from 2003 to 2007.In January 2008,he received a Ph.D.in electrical engineering and automation.
In recent years,he has mainly engaged in research and teaching of power grid fault diagnosis,smart substations,wide area backup protection,and energy internet.
He has presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China's"On-Line Fault Diagnosis and Chain Fracture Brittleness Mechanism with Time Sequence Information", State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Research Institute, "Intelligent Substation Wide Area Backup Protection Algorithm Study," and "Smart Substation "Research on Online Identification of Secondary System Risk", "Information Security Research on Wide Area Measurement and Control System of Interconnected Power Grid", "Simultaneous Development of Intelligent Substation Multi-IED Device Simulator", Horizontal Project of Sichuan Provincial Electric Power Academy, "Smart Substation SCD Intelligent Comparison System" "SCD Graphical Viewing Tool Maintenance," "Intelligent Substation Protection Device Simulator Development Based on IEC 61850," and "Study-Oriented Configuration and Design Study for Smart Substations."
He has published more than 130 papers in important journals and internarional conferences at home and abroad,among which 3 are included in SCI(all 1st author),more than 50 in EI(the first author 35 pieces),and more than 10 in ISTP (the first author 6 pieces).
The invention patent has authorized 10 items,accepted 11 items,and obtained 11 software copyrights.
