- Abstract:Significant association between flux emergence and the complexity of solar coronal processes is essential for estimating magnetic field activities and their driving mechanisms. This study analyzes solar magnetic activity from 1939 to 2022,spanning solar cycles 17 to 25,using homogenized Fe XIV 530.3 nm green coronal emission data and international sunspot numbers. Cross-correlation and empirical mode decomposition analyses reveal strong positive correlations between green coronal intensity and sunspot numbers,distinct intrinsic mode functions associated with magnetic flux emergence,and a long-term declining trend in coronal emission,interpreted as evidence for the descending phase of the Centennial Gleissberg solar activity cycle.
