Faculty Profile

Dr. Li Tian, male, is from Hunan Province, China. He holds a Ph.D. degree and is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. supervisor.

He serves as an Editorial Board Member for the journals Journal of Transportation Engineering and Information , Fluid Dynamics & Material Processing and Fluids. He is also a Youth Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Journal of Central South University, Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering, and Urban Rapid Rail Transit.

Dr. Li Tian has been consecutively listed in the "World's Top 2% Scientists" for 2023 and 2024.

He has presided over over 30 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program and Young Scientists Fund, projects from the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Program, and industry-sponsored projects.

As the first/corresponding author, he has published nearly 100 SCI/EI-indexed papers in authoritative and renowned domestic and international journals. This includes 3 ESI Highly Cited Papers, 2 ESI Hot Papers, 2 China's Fine Peer-reviewed Academic Papers (F5000), and 1 paper selected for the 8th China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) Outstanding Scientific Paper. Furthermore, 4 papers were selected as Major Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements in Railway. His work has received awards such as the 2022 and 2023 Excellent Paper Awards from the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) and the Outstanding Paper Award for the 35th Anniversary of the Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering.

His honors include:

• China Railway Society Science and Technology Award, First Class (twice: ranked 4th and 9th in the list of contributors).

• 2023 Digital Simulation Technology Award "Youth Scientist Award".

• Outstanding Author Award for the 70th Anniversary of the Journal of Mechanical Engineering.

• Outstanding Author Award for the 35th Anniversary of the Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
