Dr. Xiaobin Cao received his Ph.D. degree in high voltage and insulation engineering from School of Electrical Engineering , Southwest Jiaotong University in 2011.Then he joined School of Electrical Engineering , Southwest Jiaotong University as an associate professor in the field of overvoltage and insulation coordination.He has successively undertaken the research work of one national project and five provincial and ministerial level key projects, and is currently in charge of the main research work of the Ministry of Railways major special project "Research on Key Technologies of high speed railway comprehensive lightning protection".He published 43 academic papers including 23 indexed by EI, and authorized 7 invention patents while there are four invention patents under substantive examination.Supported by the science publishing foundation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, he published a monograph entitled "lightning protection and grounding of rail transit power supply system" in 2011.
