I am Dr. Ehsan Naderi Kalali, an Associate Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University in Sichuan, China, with a rich background spanning various facets of polymer science and technology. My academic journey commenced with a Master's in polymer science from Pune University, India, leading to a prolific career that blends teaching, research, and industry experience across Iran, Spain, the Czech Republic, and China.

My expertise lies in polymer processing techniques such as extrusion, compounding, injection, and casting, alongside advanced analytical methods including thermal analysis (TGA, DSC, DMA, Rheometer), viscometry, FTIR, NMR, CHN, BET, BJH, and Raman spectroscopy. This technical proficiency is complemented by my adeptness in micro and nano-mechanical and structural characterization of polymer composites, underpinning my contributions to the field through significant research projects and international collaborations.

Notably, my research interests encompass the design and analysis of polymers/bio-polymers, nano-materials, additive manufacturing, light-weight composites, and polymer composite analysis, with a focus on developing new materials for advanced applications. My role as a principal investigator and collaborator in projects on natural fiber-based polymer nanocomposites, flame-retarded adhesives, and high-performance polyamide nanocomposites highlights my commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and practical applications.

My scholarly contributions are evidenced by an international patent and numerous publications in esteemed journals, reflecting my dedication to innovation and technology transfer in the materials science domain. Among these, my work on eco-friendly coatings for flame retardant treatment of cotton fabric and the development of functionalized layered double hydroxide-based epoxy nanocomposites for improved flame retardancy and mechanical properties stand out as testament to my pursuit of excellence and sustainability in materials engineering.

Armed with strong analytical, team working, problem-solving, management, and stress management skills, I am driven by the challenge of finding the best solutions amidst the ever-changing landscape of material sciences. My scientific achievements, underscored by an H-index of 22 and over 2300 citations, demonstrate my significant impact on the field and my continuous endeavor to contribute to its advancement.
