Brief Introduction

Dr Yuan's research mainly focuses on the soil mechanical behavior of some special soils, including expansive clay, loess etc, and corresponding ground treatment in high-speed railway. In the last few years, Dr Yuan has charged or taken part in around 10 projects, including National Science Foundation of China, Australia Research Council, Science and Technology Program of Sichuan etc. He has published around 20 research journal papers (13 SCI and 7 EI) in journals including Geotechnique, Canadian Geotechnical Journal, Soils and Foundations, Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering.
