BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Yongliang Xiong,Ph.D,Prof., received his Ph.D degree in geodesy from the Southwest Jiaotong University, PRC, in 2000.The research areas in which he has been involved include GNSS positioning theory,water vapor sounding based on GNSS, the applications of GPS to engineering surveying, deformation monitoring and data processing, adjustment computation, optimal design of control network. His current research is focused on water vapor inversion by GNSS, which is sponsored by NSF (national science Foundation of China). He has published numerous papers in these areas and have received several awards for his contributions.

GNSS: Global Navigation Satellite System Network RTK,GNSS water vapor inversion, Coordinate systems transformation, Error sources analysis for GPS (ionospheric, tropspheric delay, multi-path, ambiguity resolution, baseline vector adjustment, application of GPS to railway control, bridge, tunnel control, deformation monitoring etc.) Engineering Surveying:  methods, instruments, techniques for Engineering surveying. Deformation Analyses:  techniques and instruments for deformation monitoring,deformation monitoring data processing , applying time series analysis to deformation analysis.
