Research Group
Dr. Wei is a member of Deepwater Long-span Bridge Innovation Team of Southwest Jiaotong University. The research group is led by academician Qin Shunquan and composed of dozens of middle-aged and young teachers such as professors, associate professors and lecturers. It is mainly committed to tackling scientific and technological problems in the design, construction and operation of long-span bridges. In recent years, the research work of team members has been closely linked with practical projects. Major bridge construction projects involved in tackling key problems include Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, Hutong Yangtze River Bridge, Pingtan Strait highway and railway dual-purpose bridge, Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, Xihoumen highway and railway dual-purpose bridge of Yongzhou railway under construction, etc. The scientific research achievements of the team members provide key technical support for the safe construction of national major bridge projects.
