Profile
Ying Zeng, PhD, Associate Professor, graduated from Chongqing University in 2015. Since then she has worked at Southwest Jiaotong University. In 2019, she stuied in University of Manchester as a Visiting Scientist under the supervision of Prof. Joao Fonseca and Prof. Joseph Robson. Ying is the guest editor for "Frontiers in Materials" and the young editor for "Castings and Forgings (Chinese Version)".
Dr. Ying Zeng has long been engaged in the study of microstructure regulation and room/high temperature mechanical behavior/properties of lightweight alloy materials (including magnesium, titanium and aluminum). She is good at using multi-scale methods (macroscopic-mechanical properties, microscopic-precipitated phase-slip/twins, and atomic-first-principles calculation) to study the relationship between microstructure and properties of metal materials
She has rich experience in alloy design and development, and has developed a variety of high-strength and heat-resistant magnesium alloys. Currently, she has host the National Natural Science Foundation project, provincial Natural Science Foundation project, etc. She has published over 30 papers in materials science area.
