Zongtao Zhu received the B.S. degree in materials science and engineering from Jilin university, Changchun, China in 2005 and got the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in materials processing engineering from Harbin institute of technology, Harbin,China, in 2007 and 2012 respectively. He is currently an associate professor of materials processing engineering with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University,Chengdu,China. He has wriitten 2 book chapters on laser welding and 15 journal papers. He is the holder of two Chinesse patents. His research interests include laser welding, special power supply source used in surface modification.
