Dr. Wei Zhou is an associate professor (master's supervisor), and an IEEE Member. He also serves as a Committee Member of the Wireless Power Transfer Technology and Equipment Committee under the Chinese Society of Power Supply and the Education and Training Committee under the same society. Dr. Zhou obtained his Bachelor's and Doctoral degrees from Chongqing University in 2013 and 2018, respectively. From 2016 to 2017, he was awarded a scholarship by the China Scholarship Council to pursue studies at the University of Auckland.

Dr. Zhou has led multiple research projects including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China Projects (1 general project + 1 youth project), 2 Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Projects (1 international cooperation project + 1 youth project), and 1 Ministry of Education Industry-University Collaboration Project. Additionally, he has presided over more than 10  projects from enterprises such as CRRC, CREC, and CASIC.

He has published 50+ journal papers, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, and etc. Among these, he has authored or co-authored 20+ papers as the first or corresponding author, including 1 ESI highly cited paper, 1 CNKI highly cited paper, and 1 annual F5000 paper. His work has earned him recognition as a Top 5% highly cited scholar on CNKI. Dr. Zhou holds 9 authorized patents, including 1 U.S. patent. Furthermore, he has served as a Guest Editor for the SCI journal Electronics, Executive Editorial Board Member for the core chinese journal Electric Engineering (ISSN: 1002-1388), and Young Editorial Board Member for the ESCI journal Electricity (ISSN: 2673-4826). He has also been Local Organizing Chair and Session Chair for conferences such as IEEE CIEEC 2024, ICPES 2024, ICWPT 2021-2024, and APET 2024. Dr. Zhou acts as a Reviewer for several series of journals including those of IEEE, IET, CSEE, and IEICE.

Dr. Zhou was selected into the "Youth Seedling Program" at Southwest Jiaotong University. He received the First-Class Teaching Achievement Award at Southwest Jiaotong University for the period of 2016-2020 (5th out of 12 recipients), the Outstanding Graduate award in Chongqing, the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation award at Chongqing University, national scholarships for undergraduate and doctoral studies, the Tang Lixin Scholarship, the Meritorious Winner award in the American Mathematical Contest in Modeling, and the provincial first-class award in the Chinese Mathematical Contest in Modeling, among other honors.
