    Profile


    ZHOU Fulin, Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and recipient of Provincial Talent Program (2023). He received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2004, 2007, and 2012 respectively. From 2008 to 2011, he worked at the Joint Action Plan Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Railways, providing technical consultation and services for high-speed railway traction power supply. In 2013, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University as an introduced talent. In 2017, he was a senior visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo.

    He has long been engaged in research on "Traction Power Supply System Analysis," "Power Quality Analysis and Control," "Vehicle-Grid Electrical Coupling," and "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Traction Power Supply Systems." He has published over 80 papers in high-level journals and core journals including IEEE Transactions and Proceedings of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. He has obtained more than 40 patents and led over 30 national, provincial, and horizontal research projects. He has won three provincial-level second prizes for scientific and technological achievements (ranking first in all) from the China Railway Society, China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association, and China Association of Inventions.

    1.Traction Power Supply System Analysis

    Research on power electronic traction structures, including co-phase power supply systems, through-type power supply systems, power electronic automatic phase separation, and traction power supply systems with energy storage, to solve issues such as phase separation in high-speed railway power supply systems, power quality problems, and economic optimization of transformer operations. Research on power electronic traction power supply system theory, including stability analysis, co-phase power supply system transformation theory, and coupling mechanisms.

    2.Power Quality Analysis and Control Technology

    In the electrified railway field, conduct power quality testing analysis, modeling control, high-order harmonic control, and development of comprehensive power quality control devices.

    In the power system field, collaborate with China Southern Power Grid and others on power quality modeling simulation, power quality data mining analysis software development, harmonic impedance identification, and power quality control technology for power distribution systems.

    3.Vehicle-Grid Electrical Coupling Research

    Conduct research on transient, quasi-steady-state, and steady-state electrical processes and stability analysis methods for vehicle-grid electrical coupling, including studies on vehicle-grid harmonic coupling, low-frequency oscillation coupling, vehicle return current, bearing electrical corrosion current, automatic phase separation overvoltage and overcurrent, and surge phenomena.

    4.AI-Based Electrical Fault Diagnosis

    Through monitoring and diagnosis of key electrical parameters in EMU (Electric Multiple Units), traction power supply systems, and power systems, conduct research on vehicle-grid fault reproduction, operational state assessment, EMU safety operation early warning, energy monitoring and conservation control strategies, and vehicle-grid operational stability.
