Zhai Donghai received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Hydrogeology and engineering geology, computer science and technology from Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in traffic information engineering and control from Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 2003. From 2000 to 2003 he was employed at Maipu Communication Technology Co. Ltd performing software development, and from 2003 to 2005 he was employed at IBM China Research Laboratory performing system analyses and architecture design. Since 2006 he has been associated with Southwest Jiaotong University in the department of software engineering, and, in 2010, he was selected and sent to work in Engineering School of Tibetan University as 'the 6th Aid-Tibet program cadres' by The CPC Central Committee Organization Department for 3 years. His current research areas focus on Digital Image Processing (inpainting), Massive Data Mining (Tibetan Cyberspace Public Opinion Detection). Zhai Donghai was supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Social Science Fund (NSSF), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China, the Tibetan Autonomous Region, and some industrial funding. Zhai Donghai has authored and coauthored over 20 research papers in different techniques for digital image processing and intelligent information processing, and his 8 papers indexed by Ei, ISTP.
