Profile

Dr. Zhilu Yang obtained his B.S. Degree at Nanchang Hangkong University in China in 2005, and completed his M.S. and Ph.D. with Prof. Jin Wang and Prof. Nan Huang at Southwest Jiaotong University in China in July 2008 and 2014 respectively. He joined Prof. Nan Huang’s group at Southwest Jiaotong University as an Associate Professor in April 2015. Until now, he has published 12+ patent applications and 40+ papers with total citation of over 1200 and average Impact Factor of published papers (first and corresponding author) over 6 (IF>6). His current research is focused on the development of novel organic coatings and biomimetic/bioinspired materials for biological application and new strategies based on biomimetic endothelium function for addressesing the thrombus and infection of blood-contacting tubings and long term complications associated with restenosis and late stent thrombosis (LST) of vascular stents.
