Xu Jingmang, born in August 1987, Doctor of Engineering (Postdoc), distinguished professor, doctoral supervisor, winner of the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars, won the Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award (Youth Award), and was selected in the "Young Talent Support Project" of China Association for Science and Technology, the reserve candidates for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province, and the "Young Eagle Scholar" talent program of Southwest Jiaotong University.

The research direction is high-speed and heavy-haul railway track structure and track dynamics, focusing on railway turnouts, and carry out researches on turnout dynamics, wheel-rail contact, vibration (wave) behavior, damage evolution, condition monitoring, performance evaluation, and maintenance and so on.

As primary or corresponding author, published 45 SCI-sourced papers (19 in JCR 1), 25 EI-sourced papers in Tribology International, Vehicle System Dynamics, Wear, Journal of the China Railway Society and other domestic and foreign authoritative and well-known journals, and 2 of these papers were selected as 1% ESI highly cited papers in the global engineering disciplines; presided over 1 National Natural Science Foundation’s Excellent Youth Science Fund, 1 General Project, 1 Youth Fund and 1 Sichuan Province Key Research and Development (R&D) Project, and more than 10 engineering projects commissioned by enterprises and institutions, participated in 2 key projects of the High-speed Railway Joint Fund; won the 22nd China Patent Award (Excellence Award), the 2020 China Railway Society Science and Technology Award (Special Award), the first prize of 2019 Science and Technology Progress Award (Natural Science Category) of Sichuan Province, the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Occupational Safety and Health Association in 2018 and the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Railway Society in 2012, etc.; served as a member of the technical committee of "Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Technology of Industrial Technology Facilities" of the Ministry of Rail Transit at the World Transport Congress (WTC), a member of the Youth Science and Technology Committee of China Transportation Association, and an expert of Sichuan science and technology experts database and Chongqing science and technology experts database.
