    Xiao Bei, a Chinese lute teacher in the Department of Music of Southwest Jiaotong University, graduated from the China Conservatory of Music, and studied under the famous lute professors Zhou Yueqin, Wu Junsheng, Chen Yihan, Zhou Hui, and Yang Jing. During school, she also minored in musical instruments such as Zhong Ruan, Liu Qin, and piano. 

    In 2004, she joined the Chengdu Musicians Association.

    In 2005, she joined the Chinese National Orchestral Association.

    In 2008, she joined the Sichuan Musicians Association.

    In 2006, she published her Chinese Lute and chinese zither "Blessing" in her "Blessings for You Jiaotong University" collection.

    In 2006, she won the CCTV Great Windmill Children's Spring Festival Gala National Actor's National Selection and Distribution Activity in Sichuan Selection District Chinese Lute Junior Group Excellent Gardener Award.

    In February 2006, she won the gold prize of the Chinese Lute Youth Professional Group in the first "Hong Kong International Youth Arts Festival" competition.

    In August 2007, she won the Gold Award and Outstanding Mentor Award of the Chinese Lute Youth Professional Group in the China International Music and Art Competition.

    In August 2009, she won the Youth Chinese Lute Professional Group Gold Award and Excellent Teacher Award at the first "Huagang Cup" Cross-Strait International Music and Art Competition in Taiwan, China.

    In August 2009, she was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award of the Eighth Student Excellent Talents Competition in Chengdu.

    In September 2009, she won the Outstanding Gardener Award in the 10th Rongcheng Children's Top Ten Art New Seedling Competition in Chengdu.

    In May 2011, she was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award in the Chengdu ++ th Excellent Student Talent Selection Competition.

    In 2011, she won the Outstanding Instructor Award in the Chinese Lute Project of the China Youth International Arts Festival Finals held in Vladivostok, Russia.

    In December 2011, the program under her guidance achieved excellent results in the Chinese Lute project in the Sichuan Division of the China Art Star International Culture and Art Festival, and won the Outstanding Instructor Award.

    In December 2012, she won the Outstanding Teacher Guidance Award at the 7th Hong Kong International Youth Arts Festival "Charming China" campus talent exhibition.

    In January 2012, the “2012 Sichuan Children's Spring Festival Gala” was organized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, the Communist Youth League Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, Sichuan Provincial Young Workers' Committee, and Sichuan TV Station Star City Channel.

    In May 2012, she was awarded the Outstanding Gardener Award for the 13th Rongcheng Children's Top Ten New Art Miao Competition in Chengdu. 

    In May 2012, she was awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award in the 1st and 1st Student Talent Selection Competition of Chengdu.

    In 2013, she won the Outstanding Instructor Award at the Eighth Hong Kong International Youth Arts Festival "Charming China" National Youth Talent Exhibition.

    In 2013, she won the "2013" China-Korea Youth Art Festival Outstanding Instructor Award at the Ninth World Chinese Youth Art Festival.

    In 2014, she won the Outstanding Instructor Award for the 2014 China-Korea Youth Art Festival at the 10th World Chinese Youth Art Festival. 

    In 2014, she published her adaptation of Zhong Ruan's "Encountering the Smoke" and the Chinese Lute and erhu ensemble "Shepherd's Song" in the collection of "Le Hai Pickup".

    In 2018, her book "Chinese Lute Course for Colleges and Universities" was published.

    In 2019, she led students to participate in the traditional combination group competition of the "China Central Television and Chinese Instrumental Music and Television Contest" organized by the Central Propaganda Department and the State Administration of Radio and Television in 2019. Successfully entered the semi-finals, and recorded a series of programs on CCTV. It is also the only Southwest region college combination in their group.
