Dr. Sha Jin is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at the Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). She received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from SWJTU, Chengdu, China in 2009 and 2015, respectively. From 2013 to 2015, she was a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K. She was a Research Associate with the University of Strathclyde, during 2016–2017.

Her current research interests include the field of power electronics and energy conversion, particularly in modeling, control, and advancement of power electronic converters for portable electronics, renewable power systems, electric vehicle chargers, as well as safety evaluation of lithium-ion batteries. She has hosted 7 research projects, including 2 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 projects funded by the Sichuan Science and Technology Department. She has published 44 papers along with an academic book. Additionally, She holds 9 authorized Chinese invention patents. She has been honored with the Second Class Award in the 10th Science and Technology Award of China Power Supply Society (2024) and the Excellent Postgraduate Thesis Guidance Award of SWJTU (2023).
