[Title] Analysis of the Vertical Current Evolution for the X9.3 Flare on 6 September 2017

摘要:In this article,we examine the morphological evolution and current distribution of the X9.3-class flare on 6 September 2017 that occurred in active region 12673. Using high-resolution observations from SDO/AIA and HMI,we analyze the evolution of vertical current density derived from vector magnetograms. The vertical current intensity exhibits two distinct enhancements corresponding to the X2.2 and X9.3 flares,with the latter showing a more pronounced increase. A pair of conjugate current ribbons is identified,spatially coincident with the flare ribbons. During the X9.3 flare eruption,the current ribbons undergo significant morphological evolution,including contraction,fragmentation,and the formation of current islands. The correspondence between current islands and flare kernels suggests that the eruption mechanism of the X9.3 flare is consistent with tether-cutting magnetic reconnection.
