Dr Luo is mainly engaged in the research of geological disaster mechanism and prevention engineering. He presided over and participated in 8 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, published nearly 30 academic papers (9 SCI, 15 EI, 15 Chinese core, 2 teaching reform papers), published 1 monograph, 3 textbooks, obtained 8 authorized invention patents, 3 software copyrights, and 10 utility model patents.He won the third prize of Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of Jiangsu underground space society science and technology award respectively. He is a technical support expert of land and space ecological restoration work of Sichuan Provincial Department of natural resources and an ecological environmental protection expert in the field of urban management in Sichuan Province.And the reviewers of Journal of mountain science, International Journal of environmental science and technology, Journal of traffic and transportation engineering, Journal of Earth Sciences, Journal of natural disasters, Journal of Southwest Jiaotong University and Journal of Beijing Jiaotong University.
