Associate professor Hongmei Liu has solid educational background and extensive research experience, and is an expert on light alloys. She has been appointed as an Associate Professor in 2004, receive her PhD degree from Sichuan University in 2007. She had been working at the University of Auckland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2007 to 2011. During that period, she was in charge of the project “Exceptionally ductile magnesium alloys”, Marsden Funding, supported by the Royal Society of New Zealand, 09-UOA-076 and New Zealand FRST IIOF grant ,UoAX 0601.
