Prof. Qi Li, received his Ph.D. in Power System and its Automation from Southwest Jiaotong University in China. From 2009 to 2011, sponsored by China Scholarship Council (CSC) as a joint-cultivate Ph.D. student, he did research in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is currently a full professor of Power System and its Automation at Southwest Jiaotong University in China. He is a deputy director of National Rail Transit Electrification and Automation Engineering Technique Research Center in China.
Prof. Qi Li is IET Fellow, IEEE Senior member, Member of Transportation Electrification Technical Committee of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), Chairman of Sub-committee on Traction Inverter for Rail and Road Transports of Transportation Electrification Technical Committee of IEEE IES, Executive Member of Council of Technical Committee on Electric Vehicles (China) of IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), and Deputy Secretary-General of Transportation Electrification Committee of Chinese Power Supply Society. And also is the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, Guest Editor of IET Renewable Power Generation and CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems. In addition, he is a candidate of Academic and Technological Pioneers of Sichuan Province of China, a council member of Science and Technology Youth Federation of Sichuan Province of China. He is also invited to many international academic conferences as the co-chairman and keynote speaker.
Recently, Prof. Qi Li was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Innovation of China Science and Technology Industrialization Promotion Association, the Second Prize of Science Outstanding Achievement of Natural Science of Higher School in China, the Second Prize of Science, the Gold Prize of Geneva International Invention Fair, and Technology of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC), the Outstanding Young Scholar Fund of Sichuan Province of China, the excellent Ph.D. Dissertations of Sichuan Province of China, and Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award. Prof. Qi Li has been engaged in scientific research and industrial application and achieves abundant significant research results in the field of renewable energy in rail transit industry, distributed renewable energy grid-connected power generation technology, optimization and control of integrated energy system, and power system stability and control for a long time. In recent five years, Prof. Qi Li has published more than 120 journal and conference papers indexed by SCI and EI (4 highly cited papers in ESI 0.1% and 1%). Besides, he has applied and authorized for more than 60 Chinese patents, and has published 5 monographs (including chapters). In addition, he currently undertakes 20 scientific research projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Research and Development Program of China, National Key Technology R&D Program, Science and Technology Development Plan of Ministry of Railways, and Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education.
