Faculty Profile

       Fu Haiying, professor and doctoral supervisor of Southwest Jiaotong University, member of the Steering Committee for Sino-foreign Cooperation in Running Schools of the Ministry of Education, member of the Ministry of Education's professional degree postgraduate education cooperation group in the field of architecture and civil engineering, and the leader of the Southwest area. He is currently the deputy dean of the School of Civil Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. Director of Geotechnical Engineering Department, School of Civil Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. Prof. Fu Haiying received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1994, a master's degree in engineering from Sichuan University in June 1997, and a doctorate in engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2007. Professor Fu Haiying served as the deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office of Southwest Jiaotong University from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 to 2010, he served as the deputy director of the Discipline Development and Construction Department of Southwest Jiaotong University, and the deputy director of the National Seismic Engineering Technology Platform Preparation Office. In 2010 From 2015 to 2015, he served as the executive vice dean of the School of International Education, Southwest Jiaotong University, and from 2016 to the present, he has served as the deputy dean of the School of Civil Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University. Since 2007, he has been a professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, engaged in teaching and research work related to geotechnical engineering. Undertook a series of high-level scientific research projects, presided over the main research closely combined with the national development strategy, the national key research and development plan of Sichuan Province's local economy and technology take-off, the key research and development projects of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the construction of double first-class disciplines, such as "Sichuan-Tibet Railway" "Innovative Research on Construction of Major Key Technical Problems", "Dynamic Identification of Hazard Sources, Risk Assessment Technology and Information Management Platform for Major Transportation Infrastructures and Regional Integrated Transportation Systems", "Multi-field Coupling and Key Technologies of Geotechnical and Structure for Long-term Safe Service of High-speed Railways" More than ten research projects such as "Research Platform", two patents and seven papers. He has edited and participated in 3 textbooks, and has published "Overview of Southwest Jiaotong University's Undergraduate Teaching Quality Assurance System", "Relying on Team Building to Improve the Construction of Soil Mechanics and Basic Engineering Courses", "High-level Transportation Civil Engineering under the Background of the "Belt and Road" Initiative More than 10 educational reform papers such as "Exploration and Reform of International Talent Cultivation". He has won two second prizes for national teaching achievements, four first prizes and  second prize for teaching achievements in Sichuan Province, and fourteen school-level teaching achievement awards.
