Dr. Laha Ale completed his Ph.D. in Geospatial Computer Science at Texas A&M University in 2021, where he conducted research on mobile edge computing resources, spatial computing, deep learning, and deep reinforcement learning. During his graduate training, he published over ten top papers in journals and conferences. Prior to starting his graduate program, Dr. Ale worked as a software engineer for seven years at Tieto, Symantec, and Veritas.
Dr. Ale worked a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University's Center for Computational Biomedicine, where he was working under the supervision of Robert Gentleman. Dr. Ale is an alumnus of The Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines (CBMM), a Harvard-MIT research institute. His research interests include machine/deep learning, data visualization, and the application of geospatial computing methods to human data.
