Supervisor of Master's Candidates
Zhaoyang Zhao (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, China, in 2014 and 2017, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, 2020.
From 2019 to 2020, he was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. From 2021 to 2022, he was with Zhengzhou University, as an Assistant Professor. He joined Southwest Jiao tong University, Chengdu, China, in 2022. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Institute of Smart City and Intelligent Transportation, Southwest Jiao tong University. His research interests include condition monitoring, safety and reliability assessment of power electronic converters and battery systems.
Dr. Zhao was a recipient of a Prize Paper Award of the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics in 2021 and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Chongqing City in 2022. He has served as a Guest Editor-in-Chief for Microelectronics International and a Guest Associate Editor for CPSS Transactions on Power Electronics and Applications. He is an Associate Editor of Circuit World Journal and Elsevier’s e-Prime Journal.
