Research Group

Yulin ZHAN is the member of the Sustainable Concrete and Composite Material Structural Bridges research team of Southwest Jiaotong University. The team members mainly include professor ZHAO Renda, professor Zhongguo John Ma, professor and senior engineer MOU Tingmin, professor ZHAN Yulin, associate professor XU Tengfei and DENG Kailai, senior engineer LI Fuhai and lecturer LIU Haibo.

ZHAO Renda and MOU Tingmin are Academic and Technical Leaders in Sichuan Province. ZHAN Yulin is the candidate for Academic and Technical Leader in Sichuan Province. MOU Tingmin is the Design Master in Sichuan Province. The team has been committed to the micro/macro mechanical behavior of concrete, high performance concrete structure bridge, steel-concrete composite structure bridge, and the application of FRP composites in bridges. The team has trained more than 30 doctoral graduates and more than 100 master graduates. Currently, there are 7 doctoral students and over 60 master students. The overall development guidance on the scientific research of the team is that the idea of scientific research originates from the engineering, the research is prior to the engineering, and the conclusion is returned to the engineering. The team, with strong academic atmosphere, has sufficient funding for scientific research, combines theory with practice, fully respects students' individual development and research interests, supports students to freely choose research topics and provides trial funding support. The team encourages students to develop internationally and actively creates opportunities for students to foreign exchange.
