Personal introduction

Zhang Yanyang, female, from Beijing,born in 1987, doctor of philosophy,associate professor, special expert of Sichuan "Thousand Talents Plan"Sichuan Overseas High-level Study Abroad Talent, Member of the American Civil Engineers Association, Member of the Southwest Jiaotong University Branch of Zhigong Party, Vice President of the European and American Alumni Association of Southwest Jiaotong University.Received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Beijing University of Science and Technology in 2009 and University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow (University of Glasgow) in Edinburgh in 2010. Master of Engineering from Structural Engineering and Mechanics (Joint Training Project), obtained a doctorate in philosophy from civil engineering from Imperial College London (Imperial Institute of Technology) in 2015. During this period, she served as a teaching assistant at Imperial College. Since 2014, she has carried out two years of postdoctoral research at The HongKong Polytechnic University and has received funding from the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. In 2016,she entered the postdoctoral mobile station of the School of Civil Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University to engage in scientific research.  In 2018, as an associate professor (introduction of talents),  entered the innovation team of the Ministry of Education for large-scale and complex traffic tunnel engineering in the School of Civil Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University.

Academic achievements

It is mainly engaged in the research of shield tunnel structure instability failure mechanism, tunnel surrounding rock-pipe lining structure interaction mechanism, tunnel structure life cycle intelligent detection and monitoring. She presided over and participated in more than 10 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and the Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau. Published more than 20 papers in top international journals and academic conferences in the field of civil engineering.
