Xie Dong, Ph.D., Lecturer, Supervisor of Master's students, Selected for Sichuan Province's "New Talent Program for Postdoctoral Researchers" and the Overseas Talent Recruitment Program of the Ministry of Education, IEEE Member, Member of the Chinese Power Supply Society, and Member of the 5th Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Power Supply Society. He has long been engaged in research on fault diagnosis and control of converters in electric traction systems, health diagnosis and safety optimization control of multilevel converters, and health monitoring and reliability assessment of power semiconductor devices.
He has presided over 1 Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 Overseas Talent Recruitment Project of the Ministry of Education, 1 Project of Sichuan Province's "New Talent Program for Postdoctoral Researchers", 1 International Cooperation Project of Sichuan Province, and 1 Scientific and Technological Innovation Project of Central Universities. He has also participated in more than 10 research projects, including key projects and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, projects of the Science Technology and Department of Sichuan Province, and enterprise projects. He has won the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Intelligent Transportation Association and the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the China Railway Society.
He has published more than 30 papers in authoritative domestic and international academic journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, Proceedings of the CSEE, and Transactions of China Electrotechnical Society. Among them, there is 1 ESI hot paper, 3 ESI highly cited papers, 1 best paper at an international conference, 1 best poster at an international conference, and 3 papers on major railway scientific and technological innovation achievements. He has been granted 3 invention patents. He serves as a Guest Editor for the journals Electronics and Sensors and a member of the Early Career Editorial Board of the journal e - Prime. He has been invited to serve as the Oral Session Chair for the international conferences IPEMC 2024 - ECCE Asia and WiPDA - Asia 2025, and has long served as a reviewer for multiple IEEE journals such as IEEE TPEL, TIE, JESTPE, TTE, TIA, and OJPE.

Description of Research Group:列车控制与牵引传动研究室创立于2000年,由中国工程院丁荣军院士、国家级教学名师冯晓云教授领衔,依托国家重点培育学科“电力电子与电力传动”与“双一流”学科建设项目,以轨道交通行业为背景,集基础理论研究、前沿技术研究与开发于一体,主要从事电力电子与电力传动、轨道交通电气化与自动化、列车电力牵引传动关键技术、列车运行与优化操纵控制技术研发工作。主要研究方向为列车运行控制技术、电力牵引系统控制技术、电力牵引系统故障诊断与容错控制技术、电力牵引系统故障预测与健康管理技术、电力电子新器件与应用技术、储能系统优化管理等技术等。 团队以“学生成长和发展为中心”,服务国家重大需求,立德树人、科研探真、工程求实、研学求知、教学相长。全力打造中国顶尖、世界一流的列车控制与牵引传动教育与科研创新团队,为我国轨道交通电气化与自动化及其相关领域培养一流人才!
