    Prof. Qu joined Sichuan University from 1992 to 2002 and joined Southwest Jiaotong University since 2002. She got three research grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three research grants of Ministry of Education, two research grants of Sichuan Province. Additional, she also take part in the Key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 973 program and National Key Technology Research etc. as a principal investigator. She writes three chapters in three English academic monographs and 2 chapters in a Chinese academic monographs, respectively. She has published almost 200 academic papers, among which nearly 100 papers are SCI indexed. Besides, she applied for nearly 30 Chinese National invention patents, 20 of which have been authorized.

    Teaching courses include Introduce to Medical Device Engineering, Material Characterization and Analysis Techniques, Biological  Evaluation and Quality control of Medical Device for undergraduate and graduate students.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

1.  Biomaterials

The process, characterization and biological evaluation of calcium phosphate based biomaterials, hydrogel and biomaterials loading drugs.

2.  3D Printing and 3D Bioprinting

Synthesis and characterization of printing materials, 3D printing, 3D bioprinting loading cells.

    3. Bio-tribology

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) loaded with drug to treat osteolysis, study and biological evaluation of wear particles.
