Faculty Profile

Lorna is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. Her research interests include building information modeling, intelligent construction and structural analysis. She presided over and participated in 8 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund project. She has published more than 20 papers in BIM, GIS, artificial intelligence, structural analysis and other fields, and obtained 3 Chinese invention patents. Her team has successively won 1 Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 China Construction Science and Technology Award, and more than ten BIM Technology Innovation Awards from the Chinese Graphics Society, China Survey and Design Association, China Building Information Model Technology Innovation Alliance, Sichuan Civil Engineering Society and other industries association. In addition, she also instructed undergraduates and graduate students to win prizes in competitions such as intelligent construction and BIM technology application, and BIM modeling skills.
