Dr. Yang Li joined the SWJTU-Leeds Joint School in March 2023. He received his PhD degree at the University of Ottawa, and his PhD dissertation has been awarded the Governor General’s Gold Medal, which awards to doctoral students who have achieved the highest academic standing. Dr. Yang Li’s research interests include the behaviour of reinforced concrete components under blast and impact loading and the use of high-performance materials. Other interests include the blast resistant design and the rehabilitation of concrete structures.
