Liao Cheng, male, was born in Chongqing, China, in Oct. 1964. He is the Ph.D., post-doctor, Professor, Ph.D. adviser in the discipline of electromagnetic field and microwave technology. He received B.S. and M.S. degree in Optics from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. He held a position in computer-controlling with Guoguang Electronic Tube Works between 1989 and 1992. In 1995, under the direction of Academician of the Academy of Science in China, Prof. Lin Weigan, he was received Ph.D. degree in electromagnetic theory and microwave technology from UESTC. He engaged in postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Electromagnetic Theory and Microwave Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, between 1995 and 1997. From 1997 to 1998, he was invited by Professor K.K.Mei for cooperative research in City University of HongKong. He has been working in the Southwest Jiaotong University since 1998. Now, he is the director of the Institute of Electromagnetic Theory and Microwave Technology, associate dean of College of Science, Southwest Jiaotong University, and the laboratory director of Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology.
