You-Feng Cheng, Associate Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Member of the Microwave Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, has long been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the field of electromagnetic fields and microwave technology.

His main research directions include antenna theory and technology, as well as electromagnetic scattering and stealth. He has presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General and Youth Programs) and the Sichuan Provincial Natural Science Foundation. His accolades include the 2018 National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Chinese Society of Electronic Education and the IEEE APS 2025 Sergei A. Schelkunoff Transactions Prize Paper Award. He has published over 30 papers as the first or corresponding author in IEEE journal series, with multiple recognitions such as IEEE APS WHAP Hot Paper and IEEE AWPL Channel Excellent Paper recommendations. His master's student recruitment focuses on electromagnetic fields and microwave technology, as well as radio physics, while his doctoral student recruitment is centered on radio physics. He teaches undergraduate courses such as Microwave Theory and Technology, Antenna Principles and Design, Antenna Measurement Experiments, and Project-Oriented Courses, as well as graduate courses including Microwave and Antenna Engineering and Electromagnetic Computation Theory and Technology. He also serves as the course coordinator for Microwave Theory and Technology, Antenna Measurement Experiments, and Microwave and Antenna Engineering. He received the Southwest Jiaotong University 2025 "Cultivating Virtue and Nurturing Talents" Rising Star Award.
